Rodgers appointed as District 3 Supervisor

Terry Rodgers was sworn in as District 3 supervisor at the Nov. 18 meeting of the Marshall County Board of Supervisors.

He was appointed to serve, following the resignation of Keith Taylor, by unanimous vote of the board of supervisors.

A special election will be held in November 2025 to fill the position for the remainder of the term, according to circuit clerk Monet Autry.

Rodgers ran for District 3 supervisor twice.

A lifetime Byhalia resident who lives in the house he grew up in, Rodgers and wife Carla raised four sons, three of their biological children and Rodgers’ cousin.

He was employed 41 years with Northcentral Electric Cooperative, retiring in 2013 with the position of serviceman.

Rodgers participated in preparations and operations of the White Oak Festival and also volunteered with the Clysdale Christmas Store.

He has been a member of the Byhalia Lions Club sine 1993.

He also served as a volunteer with the Barton Fire Department for over 20 years and at one time acted as volunteer fire chief.

He is a member of the Byhalia Methodist Church and served on the Byhalia Chamber of Commerce board of directors and as president for a time. He served with the Mississippi National Guard at the Armory in Holly Springs.
