Lula Frances Mitchell Jeffries

Lula Frances Mitchell Jeffries, 90, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Holly Springs, died November 19, 2024, at her home. She was a member of St. John Baptist Church where she served as a church usher. She was a retired home healthcare assistant.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on November 29 from 2:305:30 p.m. and on Nov. 30 at St. John MB Church, 1656 Pendleton St., Memphis, from 9-9:55 a.m with services at 10 a.m. Pastor James DeLaney will officiate. Burial will be in New Park Memorial Gardens.

She leaves her daughters, Ora Denise White, Barbara Rounds, Gale Baker, Louise Richardson, all of Memphis; son, Raymond Earl Jeffries of Memphis; sisters, Vera Jeffries of Memphis, Steptoria Finner of Holly Springs, Jewel Thompson of Aurora, Ill., Susie Conrad, Francine Dean, Mary Bernard, all of Ill.; brothers, Johnnie Mitchell, Willis Mitchell Jr., Morris Mitchell, Henry Mitchell, all of Ill.; 17 grandchildren, 19 greatgrandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George "Ben" Jeffries; siblings, James Mitchell, Menard Pryor, Eddie Mitchell and Brenda Mitchell.
