This weekend, grab your friends and head to “the hill” for the Christmas Market. Jones Greenhouse at 2946 South Slayden Road in Lamar is hosting their annual market. They will have a plethora of vendors as well as a taco bar food truck, Clancey’s cafe, Flipside Asian food and aroma coffee. Ladies night is Friday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday is family day including pictures with Santa Claus (10 a.m. until noon). It is always a fun event and with all of the incredible vendors, you can get a jump start to your Christmas shopping.

Friday night at Heath Barnett field, the Marshall Academy Patriots will host Greenville Christian for the second round of football playoffs. The Patriots had a bye for the first round. If you want to see some good ball, enjoy amazing concessions and cheer for the home team, be sure go. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
