Patriots prepare for playoffs
After shutting out Central Holmes Christian on senior night, Marshall Academy is riding a five-game winning streak into the first round. Marshall’s tenacious defense is arguably one of the best if not the best in school history. The Patriots want more than just a successful regular season, but have dreams of a state championship. Coach Ben Durham was very proud of how his team executed senior night. “We came out of the gate fast. I felt like we played hard and executed the game plan. We really needed a good offensive showing. I felt like we came out and got that done. They moved the ball on us but they couldn’t score. It’s our fourth shutout on the season. As we finished the regular season 8-3. We got the fourth seed. Which means we get a bye. We will play November 8, 7 p.m. At home,” he said.
