Congratulations to the Lady Patriots of Marshall Academy. The softball team ripped through Amite in a best two out of three series to clench their third consecutive state title. A big shout out to senior players Ava Ables and Landry Loper. Both were chosen by the coaches in our division as All Stars. They represented Marshall Academy in fine style at Jackson Prep in the 4A-5A-6A All Star game Wednesday. Immediately following their game, Charlie Johnson and Gracie Rappa played in the 2024 MAIS Futures game. Congratulations to those two fine players who were recognized as the up and comers, future All Stars. All four of those young ladies have worked tirelessly honing their abilities on the field and at the plate. Not only are they fantastic softball players, they are also great humans. Ava and Landry will be sorely missed in the halls of Marshall Academy and around town. They have both brought a special spark to all of us lucky enough to know them. Charlie and Gracie have another year to play and another year to share their magic with all of us.
Beautiful Ila Anne Mask made her grand entrance into the world September 30. She was a petite, six pounds and 14 ounces. Anne Greer and Scott Mask are her proud parents. She is the most precious gift and is the newest addition to our little town.
