Kattie Lee Hampton

Kattie Lee Hampton, 95, of Lamar, died October 17, 2024, at her home. She was a member of Sand Hill MB Church where she served on the mother board. She was a retired store clerk from Leaks Grocery in Lamar.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Oct. 26 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.; and on Oct. 27 at Miracle Temple Salt and Light Ministries from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Rev. Darrell Mays, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Sand Hill MB Church Cemetery in Lamar.

She leaves her daughters, Gloria Bogan, Mae Frost, Katie Kilpatrick, Barbara Wicks, Linda Jones, all of Holly Springs, Shondra Hampton of Olive Branch; sons, Ozell Hampton of Victoria, Shone Hampton of Lamar; sisters, Eura Flakes of Cordova, Tenn., Eunice Glover of Chicago, Ill.; brother, James Thompson of Holly Springs; 25 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 24 greatgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Hampton; daughter, Carol Jean Scruggs; siblings, Mamie Hampton, Mary Riddle, Jewel Walton, Mattie Bell Foster, Margaret Allen, and Solomon Mitchell Jr.
