Ora Jean Pegues

Ora Jean Pegues, 60, of Holly Springs, died October 14, 2024, at her home. She was a member of Strawberry MB Church, a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. and a lieutenant jailer for the Marshall County Sheriff's Department.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Oct. 25 from 3-6 p.m. and Oct. 26 at Strawberry MB Church from 10-10:55 a.m. with service at 11 a.m. Rev. Fredrick Fluker, pastor, will officiate.

She leaves her daughters, DaTrice Pegues, Deidra Campbell, both of Holly Springs; son, Bobby Derrell Pegues of Hernando; sisters, Grace Jeffries, Maudie Freeman, both of Holly Springs, Shirley Martin of Keokuk, Iowa, Mollie Pegues, Linda Lester, Wanda Pegues, all of Holly Springs; brother, Eric Hardaway of Holly Springs; a dear friend, Bobby Holloway; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Russell Pegues and Anna Hardaway Pegues; and sister, Alma Ruth Smith.
