Cardinals earn first win of the season against Ashland

For the second time in three weeks, Friday night football was impacted by another tropical storm.

While many decided to postpone their game to another date, the Potts Camp Cardinals and Ashland Blue Devils moved their game to Thursday night instead.

From kickoff to the final buzzer the Cardinals dominated on both sides of the line.

Coach Chris Daniels’ squad won in impressive fashion securing their first win of the season. Daniels was happy after his team’s victory. He said his team still has some work to do.

“We are excited about win one because you have to win one before you can get win two. We have somethings to clean up with our offense and defense, but it is good to get win one,” he said.

The Cardinals host Biggersville High School of Alcorn County on Fri., Oct. 4.

There are just four games left to play in the 2024 season.
