Pam Bray celebrates 70th

Happiest of birthday wishes to this beauty, Pam Bray! She flipped a n umb e r Tuesday, making 70 – the new 50. She is loved and adored by so many but most especially by her favorites Garry, Laura, Elton, Bray and Lauralee. Here’s to many more fun trips around the sun.

It is a big week for Marshall Academy football. Thursday night, the Junior Patriots take on the Rebels of Carroll Academy at Heath Barnett Field. Their game last week was bumped due to weather, so the boys and the cheerleaders are ready to get after it this week!

Friday morning, the square will be jamming along with floats produced by the seventh grade through the seniors at Marshall Academy for their annual homecoming parade. It is always a feat to see which grade can out decorate the other, float wise. If you are so inclined and want to catch a glimpse of great floats, pop on up to the square around 8 a.m. Friday morning. It is also an opportunity to catch a glimpse at the beautiful maids on the homecoming court.

Friday night, the Patriots take on the Kirk Academy Raiders at home for their homecoming. If you have been around these parts for a hot second, you will know that these two teams have quite the rivalry. I never realized it until there was a little skirmish in left field lounge many moons ago. Needless to say, it would be nice to see the bleachers packed out to root on the varsity Patriots.
