Denese Marie Ferrand Gleeton

Denese Marie Ferrand Gleeton, 71, of Holly Springs, formerly of New Orleans, La., died September 11, 2024, in DeSoto County. She was the wife of Claude Eugene Gleeton Jr. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., and Gamma Sigma Sigma. She was a retired financial secretary from the Holly Springs School District.

Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 1 p.m. on Sept. 21. Father Blair will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her daughters, Elese Wilson (Rodney) of Olive Branch, Denesha Gleeton-Greer (Samuel Sr.) of Holly Springs; son, Claude E. Gleeton III of New Orleans; sisters, Claire Winder (Donald), Karen Cole (Isaac), Lisa Spurlock (Horace), all of New Orleans; brothers, Edwin Ferrand (Pam), Earl Ferrand, both of New Orleans; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Brenda Hamilton and Gerald Ferrand.
