Maude Matthews Spears

Maude Matthews Spears, 75, of Byhalia, died September 3, 2024, at her home. She was a member of Mt. Sinia MB Church and was retired from Northcentral Electric Power Cooperative.

Services will be held at New Mt. Gilliam MB Church in Byhalia at 11 a.m. on Sept. 14. Gillespie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband, Bobby Spears; sons, Rashad Spears (Kronskie), Ronquil Spears (Renarda), both of Olive Branch; daughter, Pasha Nunnally (Christopher) of Houston, Texas; sister, Beatrice King of Memphis, Tenn.; brother, Johnson Matthews Jr. (Dorothy) of Memphis; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, June Matthews, Joseph Matthews Sr., Lawrence Matthews, Robert Matthews Sr.; and sister Overia Richmond.
