James Robinson

James Robinson, 92, of Red Banks, died August 24, 2024, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was a member of Pleasant Grove MB Church. He was a farmer, landscape owner of Country Oaks Nursery, car salesman and a retired educator at Cypress Junior High School.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Sept. 6 from 6-8 p.m. and Sept. 7 at New Dimension Salt and Light Ministries from 1010:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Speaker will be Gaylon Robinson. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove MB Church Cemetery in Red Banks.

He leaves a daughter, Tharon Robinson Seay of Memphis; sons Dr. Lloyd Robinson of Memphis, Antonious Robinson of Southaven, James Robinson Jr. of Red Banks, Gaylon Robinson of Memphis; sisters, Vanette Robinson Muhammad, Shelby Muhammad, both of Chicago, Ill.; brother, Othello Robinson of Holly Springs; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nola Garrett Robinson; siblings, Brunetta Moore, Samuel T. Robinson, Doms Robinson, Amelda Bates, William Bridgeforth, Charles Robinson, Wilma Ford, Alfred "Skip" Robinson, Elizabeth Culbertsom, Lydia Tolbert, Evelyn Pointer, and Clarence Robinson.
