Kent B. Falkner

Kent B. Falkner, 63, of Holly Springs, died July 16, 2024, at his home. He was a member of Mt. Gillie Community Church where he served as a deacon and church treasurer. He was a member of Chulahoma Masonic Lodge #241, past president of Marshall County Democratic Committee, served as president of zoning board, Ida B. Wells Museum and Chulahoma Fire Department. He was president/CEO of Kent Falkner Trucking.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on July 26 from 3-6 p.m. and on July 27 at Chulahoma MB Church from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Rev. Leslie B. King Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Gillie Community Church Cemetery.

He leaves his wife, Jacqueline B. Sims Falkner of Holly Springs: daughter, Kentra Falker of Memphis, Tenn.; sons, Kenn B. Falkner (Megan) of Nesbit, Kent E. Falkner (Kimya) of Collierville, Tenn.; sisters, Mattie Walker of Holly Springs, Urma Walker of Waterford, Ella Washington of Holly Springs, Wheelock Patrick of Holly Springs, Sarah Summervillie of Arlington, Va.; and one grandson.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, Bobbie E. and Mattie Dean Falkner; siblings, Gladys Young, Barbara Walker, Mose Falkner, Edgard Falkner, Larry Falkner and Bobbie E. Falkner Jr.
