Letter to the Editor
Dear Editor,
Here’s a heart-felt thank you to all
those who made our city’s Independence Day celebration so magnificent. Neighbors packed into Blues Alley Park and just enjoyed being with neighbors. There was lots of laughter, small children excitedly giggling, teens doing what teens do with nothing but joy, music that acted like a magnet pulling people up to dance, everybody eating great food, and everybody oohing and ahhing at the awesome fireworks.
The event truly showed that Holly Springs can offer the best in small town living, where people look after each other and crowds can gather in safety to have fun.
Perhaps we can retain that Independence Day spirit of sharing and community a little longer as we address together the challenges that face our city.
