Ivory Lee "Choke" Kinard

Ivory Lee "Choke" Kinard, 74, of Waterford, died June 12, 2024, at Baptist DeSoto Hospital in Southaven. He was a member of New Hope MB Church in Laws Hill where he was a member of the Deacon Ministry. He was employed at Tennessee Valley Authority in Alabama as a Fish & Wildlife Conservationist Resources as a biologist, Occupational Health & Safety Inspector and Special Projects with the United States Army in Taraho, Ind.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on June 22 at New Hope MB Church. Dr. Bessie Tables officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Gloria Kinard; son, Ivory K. Kinard of Horn Lake; daughter, Tammy Campbell (Maurice) of Holly Springs; brothers, Willie J. Kinard of Waterford, Ernest Kinard (Wanda), Rayford Kinard (Georgia), both of Aurora, Ill., Lee Kinard (Aubrey) of Marianna, Sylvester Kinard of Waterford; sisters, Beatrice Hoey (Joe), Brenda Harmon (Roger) both of Waterford; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bulah; two brothers, Leonard Kinard and Larry Kinard.
