Blue Devils tag Baker as head coach

Coach James Baker from Hickory Flat has been named head basketball coach of the Ashland High School boys team. Baker has coached girls and boys basketball for the last six years. Baker was recently an assistant at West Union High School under coach J.C. Hayles.

“Ashland has a rich history when it comes to basketball and basketball has always been something that I am passionate about,” Baker said. “I really believe God brought me to Ashland and I want to be the best coach possible for the players, the school, and the community. I want to bring back the excitement that comes with Ashland basketball.”
