Mary Jane Shoffner

Mary Jane Shoffner, known for her love of gardening flowers, hosting family events, enjoying the outdoors, and collecting antiques, passed away at her home in Victoria, MS, on May 4, 2024. She was born on March 4, 1942, in Hickory Flat, Miss.

Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband William Shoffner, her parents LE Pope, Lula Virginia Pope. Mary is also preceded in death by her siblings Sonny Pope, Mike Pope, James Pope, Gary Pope and her daughter Lesia Green.

Those who will forever cherish Mary's memory include Brenda Knighton (Bobby) from Myrtle, Miss., Shirley Hayes from Oxford, Miss., Sandra Holmes (Tim) from Hickory Flat, Miss. Mary's spirit will be carried on by her children Roger Shoffner from Victoria, Miss.; Dean Shoffner (Joyce) from Holly Springs; Patricia Rutherford (Alan) from Red Banks; Teresa Gadd (Maurice Leblanc) from Ashland; Jessie Shoffner (Ronna) from Byhalia; Melissa Lowe (Tommy) from Waterford; Chris Shoffner (Alyssa) from McCrory, Ark. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Dereck Wilson, Kimberly Shoffner, Jason Green, Brittany Wren, Clayton Wren, Nicholas Wren, Dewayne Shoffner, Elaine Shoffner, Cody Gadd, Jeffrey Shoffner, McKynzley Shoffner, Tyson Shoffner, Harley Quinn Shoffner, Grayson Shoffner, Hunter Shoffner, Thomas Gibson, Lindsey Gibson, Raychel Lowe, Grace Watkins, Dallas Williams, KaLea Wren, Baylor Wren, Casper Shackelford, Brayden Wilson, Ashton Williams, Oliver Wren, Avery Lowe, Landyn Lowe and Camrun Green.

Services to honor and remember Mary's life were held at Glenfield Funeral Home located at 101 N. Denton Road in New Albany, Miss. A visitation took place on May 9th starting at 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.. The Celebration of Life ceremony was held the following day, May 10th. The ceremony began at 2 p.m.

Rev. Corey Hall officiated the services. Burial followed in McKay Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jeffrey Shoffner, Lee Rogers, Clayton Wren, Nick Wren, Thomas Gibson and Jason Green.

Mary Jane Shoffner touched the lives of many with her warmth and generosity. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all those fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in peace.

Glenfield Funeral Home was honored to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Shoffner.
