Napoleon Smith

Napoleon Smith, 76, of Holly Springs, died April 25, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven. He was a member of Anderson Chapel CME Church where he served as a church trustee emeritus, in the male chorus and the discipleship class. He was a U.S. Army veteran and owner of Smith & Son Construction Co.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on May 3 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., at Anderson Chapel from 5-7 p.m. and on May 4 from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Rev. Dr. Leon C. Moore Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Cottrell Memorial Garden.

He leaves his wife, Earlene Batts Smith; daughters, Kim Booker of Bowie, Md., Beverly Grayson of Killeen, Texas, Natalie Francis of Union City, Ga.; son, James Kevin Smith of Fairview, Tenn.; sisters, Bessie McCain of Holly Springs, Valerie Smith of Alexandria, Va., Barbara S. Anderson of Holly Springs, Sharon S. Travis of Jackson; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Celestine Smith and Deborah Marie Smith.
