Throw me something, mister. Jane Franks and her Pops, Charlie Farris, have a blast on a Mardi Gras parade route.
Ethan Dickey is pictured with his namesake and great-grandfather, Jerry Beck.
City Personals
Jane and Charlie Farris spent time in New Orleans during the best time of the year, Mardi Gras season. Their daughter, Frannie Franks, and her family joined them to enjoy the revelry.
Congratulations to Hallie and CJ Dickey on the birth of their first son, Ethan Jerry. He came a little early, making his grand appearance February 5, weighing in at 7 pounds, 10 ounces and measuring 20.5 inches. Jacque Beck is his proud grandmother. Baby Ethan is the second greatgrandson of Jerry Beck.
A shout out goes to Mandy Hurdle, a creative baker extraordinaire. She baked dozens and dozens of the most amazing Valentine cookies (even iced with buttercream) this week, as well as dipping traditional chocolate covered strawberries with beautiful adornments. It is always great to support local business and I was thrilled to know she bakes.
It goes without saying that Sherry Hill’s specialty, chocolate covered strawberries, were a complete hit with everyone lucky enough to snag her incredible berries. Every season, Hill works tirelessly to make sure there are enough of her strawberries to go around, as she is so selfless and never wants anyone to do without. If you have never had her delicacies, keep an eye out next year. Her wonderful daughter, Robin, and fabulous grandson, Jacob McMinn, set up in the big parking lot on the south side of town by Sonic. Always wearing smiles and happy to see you, the duo will set you up with perfect little boxes of scrumptiousness.
