Earnestine Evans Scott

Earnestine Evans Scott, 76, of Holly Springs, died January 15, 2024, at her home. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She was retired from Memphis Shelby County Schools.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Jan. 26 from 3-6 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Jan. 27 at Evans Family Cemetery in Benton County. Rev. Huston Evans will officiate.

She leaves her husband, Dr. William Delano Scott III; daughter, Anna Beatrice Scott Jackson (Raymond) of Memphis; sons, William D. Scott IV (Heiko) of Hamburg, Germany, Charles Benjamin Scott II (Monica) of Katy, Texas; sister, Janevial Evans Triplett of St. Louis, MO; brothers, Mack Arthur Evans of Memphis, Rev. Huston Evans, William Beck Jr., both of Ashland; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Algee Evans, Katie Marie Evans Johnson, Shirley Evans Johnson and James Curtis Evans.
