Vernard Ray Murchison, 93, of Harmontown, died December 8, 2023, at Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford. He was a member of Harmontown Baptist Church, a chemical operator and a U.S. States Army veteran.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Dec. 11 at Harmtown Baptist Church Cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves a son, Ronald Murchison (Becky) of Harmontown; daughter, Myra Murphree (Steve) of Olive Branch; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Annette Logan Murchison.
