Terrence DeWayne Smith

Terrence DeWayne Smith, 50, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Byhalia, died October 13, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis. He was a member of Mt. Moriah MB Church and a cable tech at Comcast.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Oct. 25 from 3-5 p.m. and on Oct. 26 at Mt. Moriah MB Church from 1-1:55 p.m. with services at 2 p.m. Rev. Artwell Craft Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery.

He leaves a son, Cornelius Jenkins of Holly Springs; daughters, Cameisha Jenkins Clayton of Holly Springs, Tavasha Gatewood, Kierra Dean, both of Memphis; father, James Earl Watkins of Lakeland, Fla.; sisters, Patricia Watkins of Memphis, Pamela Smith of Holly Springs, Diane Smith of Byhalia; brothers, Gregg Watkins of Memphis, John Henry Smith, Michael Smith, James Smith, all of Byhalia, Quincy Smith of Milwaukee, Wisc.; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Terrance Smith Jr.; and brother, Jerry Watkins.
