Alumni basketball game donates $12,000 to school district

Holly Springs High School and Holly Springs School District would like to thank Darrel Thomas, Juanette Thomas-Cummings, organizers and committee members, alumni players, alumni, and all who supported the first annual Alumni Basketball Game for one of the largest individual donations ever received by the Holly Springs School District. The community came together to support the students in a big and positive way. The generous donation from the Alumni Basketball Game will benefit both the athletic and instructional program at Holly Springs High School. The $12,000 donation was made immediately after the game on Saturday, Sept. 23. A formal presentation was made, at the request of school leaders, at the October school board meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 10, to allow school board members and administration to offer an official thank you.
