Ricky Morris Pegues

Ricky Morris Pegues, 60, of Holly Springs, formerly of Columbus, Ohio, died September 25, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. He was a former member of Providence MB Church and was a construction worker.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Septembe 30 at Beverly Chapel CME Church. Rev. Willie Hoey officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves a daughter, Naketa Smoots of Columbus; aunt and caregiver, Patricia Pegues of Holly Springs; sisters, Cheryl Anthony, Tracy Pegues, both of Columbus; brother, Cedric Pegues of Columbus; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Oneiser Barksdale Pegues and father, Calvin "JB" Pegues.
