Dennis James, 73, of Ashland, died September 9, 2023, at Baptist Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was a supervisor at Cabetel and a U.S. Army veteran.
Services were held at 3 p.m. on Sept. 17 at Ashland Baptist Church. Burial was in the Ashland Cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Kay Wylie James; four sons, Stephen James (Amanda) of Southaven, Michael Weeks (Jennifer), Wyatt Weeks (Olivia) both of Ashland, Stuart Hampton of Cayce; two daughters, Emily Hendrix of Holly Springs, Ashley Hampton of Cayce; two brothers, Roy James of Atlanta, Ga., Kevin James of Walnut; two sisters, Billye Pittman of Collierville, Tenn., Beth Pitt of Mt. Pleasant; and 12 grandchildren.
