David Lynch

David Lynch, 91, of Abbeville, died September 15, 2023, at his home. He was a member of Springfield MB Church where he served as a former deacon. He was a retired groundskeeper at the University of MS Golf Course.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Sept. 22 from 2-5:30 p.m. and on Sept. 23 at Springfield MB Church from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Pastor Jerry Malone will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He leaves his daughters, Minnie Miller of Abbeville, Clettis Jackson of Independence; sons, Minister Hayes Michael Lynch of Abbeville, Harvey Lynch of Batesville, Ivory Lynch, David Lynch Jr., Eddie Frank Southern, all of Abbeville; 22 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Corrine Malone Lynch; daughter, Pearlie Wilborn; siblings, Hayes Lynch Jr. and Gracie Thacker.
