Sam Ulysses Jones, 63, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Holly Springs, died July 27, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis. He was a member of Strickland UM Church in Byhalia and worked in manufacturing.
Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on August 4 from 3-6 p.m. and on August 5 at Smith Grove MB Church from 2-2:55 p.m. with services at 3 p.m. Rev. Michael Gordon will officiate. Burial will be in Strickland UM Church Cemetery.
He leaves his sisters, Annie Wilson, Rose Coleman, Willie A. Milan, all of Memphis, Linda Faye Johnson of Jackson, Miss., Maude Melvin, Blonetta Jones, both of Aurora, Ill., and Olia Nunley of Walls.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bufford and Annie Falkner Jones.
