Floyce Hunt

Floyce Hunt, 84, of Michigan City, died July 1, 2023. She was a member of Hardaway MB Church and was employed at Master Slack in Bolivar, Tenn. for 25 years.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on July 9 at Hardaway MB Church with burial in the church cemetery. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves five daughters, Billie Harris (Ernest), Shirley Boyle, Lottie Monie (Eddie), Crystal Hunt, all of Memphis, Tenn., Flossie Poplar (Robert) of Michigan City; one son, Jimmie Dale Hunt Jr. of Ashland; four sisters, Annie Jackson (Kenneth) of Grand Junction, Tenn., Rosie Rucker (Dwight), Loyce Scott, Valandy Poplar, all of Michigan City; five brothers, LJ Buggs, Jasper Buggs, Troy Buggs (Pearlie), Dannie Buggs (Joann), Charles Buggs (Sandra), all of Michigan City; 19 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Dale Hunt Sr.; a daughter, Christy Hunt; two grandchildren, Pamela Hunt, Sedric A. Hunt; a sister, Mae Nelson; two brothers, E.L. Buggs and Rickey Lee Buggs.
