Sweetie Pegues Dawkins

Sweetie Pegues Dawkins, 74, of Holly Springs, died June 1, 2023, at her home. She was a member of Beverly Chapel CME Church and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. She was an educator at Holy Family School.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on June 9 from 12-6 p.m. and on June 10 at Anderson Chapel CME Church from 11-11:55 a.m. with services at 12 p.m. Rev. DeJeanette Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in Beverly Chapel Church Cemetery.

She leaves her children, Danica Dawkins of Holly Springs, Candace Dawkins of Nashville, Tenn.; sisters, Patricia Pegues of Holly Springs, Maxine Guinn of Bowie, Md.; brothers, Benel Pegues of Holly Springs, Lang Pegues, Leon Pegues, of Kansas City, Mo.; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Dawkins; siblings, James Pegues, J.B. Pegues, Lloyd Pegues, Rev. Chester Pegues and Veronia Donald.
