Shaun Derrick Mason

Shaun Derrick Mason, 60, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Holly Springs, died May 6, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett, Tenn. He attended Taylor's Chapel UM Church in Victoria and was a machinist at Stryker Corp in Arlington, Tenn.

Visitation will be held at Anderson Chapel CME Church on May 20 from 1-1:55 p.m. with services at 2. Rev. Johnny Poole will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Cassandra Byers Mason; daughter, Brittany Nicole Mason of Memphis; sons, Nicholas Ian Mason, Shaun Derrick Mason II, both of Memphis; sister, Rose Bell of Olive Branch; brothers, Rev. Keith Mason, Samuel "Derb' Mason, both of Holly Springs, Kevin Marion of St. Peter's, Mo., and Sebastian "Snoop" Marion of Memphis.

He was preceded in death by a grandchild; mothers, Ruby Mason, Bertha "Iuda" Shaw; father, Samuel Shaw; sisters, Karen "Tan" Mason and Sharron DeLaney.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Alzheimer's Association or American Heart Association.
