George "Heat" Hoyle

George "Heat" Hoyle, 87, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Michigan City, died April 19, 2023, at his home. He was a member of Palestine MB Church in Michigan City and retired from CocaCola Bottling Co. in Memphis.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on April 23 at Palestine MB Church. Rev. James W. Williams officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves a daughter, Barbara Ann Hoyle of Bolivar, Tenn.; sisters, Geannie Porter of Ashland, Doris Evans of Michigan City, Betty Gibson of Ashland; brothers, Raymond Hoyle Sr., Cluster Hoyle, both of Ashland, Freddie Hoyle of Corinth, Reed Hoyle of Columbus, Ohio; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his sons, George Hoyle Jr., Michael Hoyle; siblings, Chester Harris Sr., James Hoyle Sr., Thomas Hoyle, Ruby Richard, Izola Strickland and Sally Norton.
