Roy Lee Burgess

Roy Lee Burgess, 61, of Holly Springs, died February 28, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. He was a member of Smith Grove MB Church and a brick mason with Stewart Construction.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on March 10 from 3-6 p.m. and on March 11 at Smith Grove MB Church from 9-9:55 a.m. with services at 10 a.m. Rev. Willie E. Hoey will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He leaves his sisters, Juanita Waller of Memphis, Tenn., Everlena Burgess of Holly Springs, Mary Burgess of Richmond, Calif., Linda Burgess of Holly Springs; brothers, George Burgess of Pontiac, Mich., Frank Burgess of Memphis, Cleveland Burgess of Fort Wayne, Ind., Walter Burgess of Memphis; and a dear friend, Earnestine Hamilton of Waterford.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Bloomer and Earlean Ingram Burgess; siblings, Warren Burgess, Troy Burgess, Luella Burgess and Roosevelt Burgess.
