Derricka "Penny"Griffin-Whitelow

Derricka "Penny" Griffin-Whitelow, 50, of Holly Springs, died February 26, 2023, at her home. She was a member of Sand Hill MB Church in Lamar where she sang in the choir. She was a security guard at D H L Carrier.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on March 10 from 3-6 p.m. and on March 11 at Miracle Temple Salt and Light Ministries in Lamar from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Rev. Darrell Mays will officiate. Burial will be in Sand Hill MB Church cemetery.

She leaves her husband, Ricardo Antwon Whitelow; daughter, DaSherrica Zhane'e Lawrence of Holly Springs; sons, Mark Anthony Lawrence Jr. of Holly Springs, DeAndre Lamont Griffin of Columbus; mother, Phyllis Naylor Mason (Walter) of Lamar; father, James Griffin of Covington, Tenn.; sisters, Linda Wimbley of Shreveport, La., Tinya Crawford of Memphis, Tenn., Kathy Mason of St. Louis, Mo., Tanitra Stigger of Lamar, Ayesha Brooks of Ripley, Shervon Beard, Cierra Tipler, both of Holly Springs; brothers, Patrick Griffin of Holly Springs, Andre Allen of Michigan City, Deon Beard of Memphis, Nakiya Griffin of Aurora, Ill.; and 4 grandchildren.
