James Louis Anthony

James Louis Anthony, 75, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Byhalia, died February 1, 2023, at his home. He was a member of Hearn Grove MB Church where is was a deacon and in the male chorus.

Visitation will be held at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel on Feb. 10 from 4-6 p.m. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Feb. 11 at Hearn Grove MB Church in Byhalia with burial in the church cemetery.

He leaves his wife, Carol Robertson Anthony; three sons, James Marcus Anthony of Tampa, Fla., Brandon Anthony, Randy Robertson, both of Memphis; two daughters, Lesia Porter of Lake Center, Tamekia Elliott (Jerry) of Ashland; five brothers, Charles Anthony (Bessie) of Byhalia, S.T. Anthony (Bobbie) of Memphis, Clarence Anthony (Sharmine) of Round Rock, Texas, Theodore Anthony of Byhalia, Phillip Anthony (Michelle) of Killeen, Texas; three sisters, Anner Marr, Angela Pye, both of Byhalia, Lashanda Smith of Olive Branch; and 13 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Robert Gatewood, Willie Anthony, Perry Anthony Jr., Minister Oliver Anthony, Frank Anthony; and one sister, Bobbie Anthony.
