Byers wins 12th straight game, beats Ashland 76-52

The H.W. Byers Lions hosted Blue Mountain High School on Tuesday, Jan. 10 and traveled to Ashland High School for a critical district game between the two schools.

Byers picked up their 12th straight win and have a big game next on their home floor as they welcomed Lewisburg High School Tuesday, Jan. 17.

The Lions defeated the Patriots this season during the winter classic tournament on Lewisburg's floor. It's a battle of 1A vs. 6A, and you can believe Byers hasn't backed down from any fight.

Ashland takes beating against Byers 76-52

H.W. Byers Lions won Friday nights conference game against Ashland with a score of 76-52 making it their 12th straight win.

Byers put on a press throughout the game and was hitting the net all night.

Byers will travel to Coldwater High School for a district game Friday, Jan. 20. Game begins at 7:30 p.m.

Ashland will travel to H.W. Byers Tuesday, Jan. 24 for a district game.

Ashland Lady Blue Devils win against Byers Lady Lions 42-34.

The Ashland Lady Blue Devils took home the win Friday night against H.W. Byers Lady Lions with a score of 42-34.

Ashland's Raven Morris led the Blue Devils with a high score of 17. She put in four threepointers in the basket.

Andrea Carter was the top scorer for the Lady Lions with 13 points, with 12 points being three-pointers.

Ashland Lady Blue Devils and the Lady Lions will play again on Tuesday, Jan. 24. Game begins at 6 p.m. At H.W. Byers.
