Christmas festivities in Holly Springs

What a fun filled weekend in Holly Springs. The Marshall County Museum had another successful Holly and Ivy Gala at Montrose. Proceeds from their benefit go directly to the museum.

Saturday, the ladies of Belles and Books hosted two seatings for an incredible luncheon of chicken crepes, squash tunica, port wine cranberry congealed salad, Landry’s world renowned rolls and a slice of pound cake drizzled with a raspberry sauce topped off with freshly whipped cream. The tables this year did not disappoint, as a lot leaned toward the softer shades of pink. Julie Read Hibbing had a beautiful variety of her handmade jewelry for attendees to purchase.

The Christmas Tour of Homes was also a weekend highlight. Some local homeowners decked their halls from front to back and invited tourists through.

Locals and visitors alike were treated to the annual Christmas parade Saturday afternoon around the square. Grand Marshal of the parade was Ismell Edwards. Santa Claus even made an appearance sparking joy in young and old.
