Gloria Jean Jones Gipson

Gloria Jean Jones Gipson, 76, of Holly Springs, died December 4, 2022, at Methodist Olive Branch Hospital. She was a member of Yarbrough Chapel CME Church, member of Retired Teacher Association, and member of Marshall County 4-H Extension Homemakers Club. She was a retired teacher with the Marshall County School System.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Dec. 15 from 3-6 p.m. and on Dec. 16 at Yarbrough Chapel CME Church from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Minister Will A. Merriweather will officiate. Burial will be in Street Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Chulahoma.

She leaves a daughter, Abifia Judon of Holly Springs; sons, Bernard Jones of Arlington, Tenn., Leonard Jones of Memphis, Tenn.; mother, Martha B. Sims Jones of Chulahoma; sisters, Vadis Lee, Bonita Porter both of Holly Springs, Sylvia Jones of Killeen, Texas, Cinder Jones of Memphis, Bridgett Gill of Killeen; brothers, Lawrence Jones, John H. Jones, both of Detroit, Mich., Ira Wallace Jones of Goodlettsville, Tenn., Willie C. Jones Jr. of Holly Springs; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Knowledge Gipson; father, Willie Carter Jones; and sister, Shirley Jones Powell.
