Velice Fitts

Velice Fitts, 70, of Memphis, Tenn., died Nov. 15, 2022, at her home. She was a member of Mt. Sinai MB Church in Byhalia where she served on the mother board.

Services were held at 12 noon on Nov. 26 at Mt. Sinai MB Church with burial in the church cemetery. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her mother, Pauline Street-Fitts of Byhalia; her fiancé, Joe Freeman Jr. of Memphis; four children, DeAngelo Fitts, Fredrick Fitts (Keisha), Jackie Fitts, Andre Fitts Sr. (Myleise), all of Byhalia; brothers, Dewayne Fitts (Shirley), Pernell Fitts, both of Byhalia, Silous Fitts (Angela) of Memphis, Sylvester Fitts Jr. (Felicia) of Byhalia, Elvis Ingram, Samuel Ingram, Jimmy D. Ingram, Boyd Ingram, all of Byhalia; sisters, Ida Mae Rayford of Defiance, Ohio, Willie Seale Booker (Peter) of Fort Wayne, Ind., Berdotha F. Brooks (Johnnie) of Byhalia, Teresa Stewart of Olive Branch, Airlean Fitts of Memphis, Ivy Fitts Stephenson (Jerry) of Byhalia, Annette Fitts of Fort Wayne, Ind., Glady Harton, Alma Standback, Annie Ingram, Helen Clayton, all of Byhalia; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sylvester Fitts Sr.; sister, Mary Dell Fitts; and brother, Elma Ingram.
