With football coming to a close for the Marshall Academy Patriots, Coach Ben Durham took to the square Monday night to participate in trick or treating around the square. His wife, Beth, and children, Addison and Drew, helped him pass out candy to the costumed children. What a wonderful family to have only been here a short while and already giving back to our town. Some should take note ~ this is what it is all about, folks.
Next week, the square will be decked out for Christmas! Be sure to come out Thursday, November 10, to support your local businesses. It is always a great time going from shop to shop and getting a jumpstart on your holiday shopping! Booker Hardware has a vast selection of Case knives and all sorts of other goodies for that handyman on your list. Regel and Retro Rooster have everything under the sun to fulfill any list for any age person. It will be a fun time to just get out of the house. I have said it a lot and it is worth saying again ~ people gripe we do not have anything here shop wise. Now is your opportunity to visit the great locally owned and operated stores we do have and to put back into our own town. You won’t be disappointed in anything those three offer. As for customer service ~ it is unparalleled and would rival even the fanciest of places in big cities. So mark your calendars for next Thursday night
