Lillie Bell Spell McNeal

Lillie Bell Spell McNeal, 86, of Holly Springs, formerly of Palatka, Fla., died October 11, 2022, at Holly Springs Rehab and Health Care Center. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., and the United Methodist Women. She was a teacher of religious studies at Rust College.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Oct. 21 from 3-6 p.m. and at Asbury United Methodist Church on Oct. 22 from 9-9:55 a.m. with services at 10 a.m. Rev. Zachery Beasley will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery in Palatka, Fla. A repast will be held immediately following the service for family members and program participants.

She leaves her daughters, Nicole A. Taylor, Esther F. McNeal, both of Holly Springs; son, Reginald S. McNeal of Southaven; sister, Cora Bell Williams of Palatka; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard McNeal Jr.; siblings, John Peter Spell Jr., Earnest Calvin Spell, Timothy L. Spell, David Lorenzo Spell and Charles Edward Spell.
