James Otis McLeroy

James Otis McLeroy, 88, died October 15, 2022. He was a member of the Church of Christ and was a gravel sand trucker owner. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on Oct. 19 at McBride Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in McKay Cemetery. Minister Doug Bell officiated.

He leaves five sons, James A McLeroy, David F. McLeroy, James J. McLeroy, William Otis McLeroy, all of Hickory Flat, Julius Lane McLeroy of New Albany; daughter, Willa V. Maness (Glen) of Hickory Flat; sister, Mary Pierce of Memphis, Tenn.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Gail Arter; two brothers, Robert B. McLeroy, George W. McLeroy; sisters, Willa Shaw, Katherine Shaw, Callie E. Johnson, and Evie Marie Cook.
