Willis Glen Walton Sr.

Willis Glen Walton Sr., 80, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Waterford, died October 7, 2022, at Encompass Health and Rehab in Memphis. He was a member of Parkway Gardens Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder, Sunday School superintendent and chairman of Buildings and Grounds and a retired maintenance supervisor at Sears. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Oct. 14 from 3:30-6:30 p.m. and at Parkway Gardens Presbyterian Church on Oct. 15 from 11-11:55 a.m. with services at 12 noon. Rev. Katral Rainey will officiate. Burial will be in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest-Hill Irene Road.

He leaves his wife, Deloris Hall Walton; sons, Willis Glen Walton Jr. of Memphis, Chauncey J. Walton of Cordova, Tenn.; sisters, Margie Walton, Elizabeth Walton, Virginia Drummond, Teresa Williams, all of Atlanta, Ga.; brothers, Howard Walton, James Walton, both of Atlanta; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by siblings, Artis L. Walton Sr., Arnell Conrad and Zadie Jackson.
