The Mill at Plein Air in Taylor, was simply gorgeous Saturday evening for the wedding of Jordan Ladd and Josh Mask.
The sprinkling of rain did not damper the electricity in the air, as every guest showed up to celebrate their union. The sweet chapel on the property had a wooden cross covered in beautiful flowers meticulously arranged by Regel and Company in Holly Springs. The bouquets were elegant and simple, matching the flowers on the cross, the boutonnieres and the pews. It was a sight to behold with the soft colors and edges of the hydrangeas.
Josh and his groomsmen were dressed in true navy suits complimenting the slate color of the bridesmaids’ dresses. Jordan’s wedding gown was a work of art fitted through the bodice with a flowing skirt. She looked like a true princess wearing a crown with her veil attached.
Jordan and Josh’s mother’s were nothing short of gorgeous both wearing floor length gowns, Dabney’s was blue and Amy’s silver with just enough sparkle to shine like a diamond. Grandmother’s of the couple also looked stunning with both wearing a rich blue color. Mammother’s was elegant, a jacket over her dress fitting her small frame perfectly, as Jordan’s grandmother’s had classy lace covered cutouts throughout the arms.
I have never been to a wedding where the bride and groom smiled and carried on the way Jordan and Josh did at the alter. Their fun personalities shone through and you could not help but smile throughout the ceremony. Their love for one another, as well as their sheer joy, was palpable. Clay Pritchett performed their ceremony and delayed the “you may kiss the bride” line for a hot minute as he giggled.
After the ceremony, guests experienced a cocktail hour outside of the venue while the wedding party were having photographs made. A bar was set up, along with tables donning floral arrangements and bar stools. Caterers meandered through the crowd offering an array of hors d’oeuvres such as bacon wrapped scallops, pork belly and small tortes filled with spinach and a dollop of sauce.
Once the wedding party arrived to the reception, the real party began. Soul Tones band performed a handpicked song for the newly married couple. It was the sweetest thing to watch as they sang every word of the song to one another while swaying on the dance floor.
After Jordan danced with her Daddy and Josh with his Momma, the meal was served. Grit catered the reception and had three different stations set up in the main room. The center station was an array of salad fixins encircled around a gorgeous arrangement of flowers. There was a carving station which had the most incredible beef tenderloin, two different sauces, rolls and roasted root vegetables. Across the room was another table. Its offerings were spicy shrimp and grits, chicken and biscuits and fried green tomato sandwiches. When I say that, I mean the sandwiches consisted of two fried green tomatoes, remoulade, lettuce and bacon. Delicious!
Josh’s cake and table were Ole Miss Rebel themed. Jordan’s cake was elegant and had gold leaf accents.
The couple left Monday to spend a week in Hawaii. They will be making their home in Holly Springs. Congratulations to Jordan and Josh Mask. Here’s to a lifetime of always loving one another and showing it the way y’all did on the night of your wedding.
