Mattie Ree Bailey

Mattie Ree Bailey, 84, of Holly Springs, died September 11, 2022, at her home. She was a member of St. Mark MB Church, member of Heroines of Jericho and a retired teacher from ICS Headstart.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Sept. 15 from 2-6 p.m. and Sept. 16 at New Dimension Salt and Light Ministries from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Rev. Dr. Patrick L. Bailey will officiate. Burial will be in Cottrell Memorial Garden.

She leaves her daughters, Karee Heath of Holly Springs, Marjorie Anderson of Ashland, Mattie Nalls of Madison, Ark., Sharon Ray of Clinton; sons, Lee A. Bailey, Victor L. Bailey, both of Memphis, Tenn., Terry D. Bailey of Olive Branch, Patrick L. Bailey of Holly Springs; sister, Lizzie Campbell of Holly Springs; brother, Joe Luellen of Hudsonville; 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by siblings, Mack W. Thompson, Floyd Thompson and Chester B. Thompson.
