Katie Mae Barksdale Shaw

Katie Mae Barksdale Shaw, 82, of Holly Springs, died August 14, 2022, at her home in the Chulahoma community. She was a member of Bell Grove MB Church where she served on the mother's board and was a former church secretary. She was a retired store clerk for Davis and Sons Grocery.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on August 19 from 3-6 p.m. and on August 20 at Chulahoma MB Church from 12:301:25 p.m. with services at 1:30 p.m. Minister Marvin Lucas Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Bell Grove MB Church Cemetery.

She leaves a granddaughter and caregiver, Alexis Shaw-Wells of Holly Springs; son, Glenn Alan Shaw, Don Zell Shaw, both of Holly Springs; brother, Ira Barksdale Jr. of Rowland Heights, Calif.; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Hays Shaw; children, Hazel Shaw, Karen Shaw, Gregory Shaw; siblings, Eva Lee Faulkner, Corrine Blackmond and Famous Lyles.
