Tarvis McKell Shields

Tarvis McKell Shields, 39, of Slayden, died July 5, 2022. He was a member of Hudsonville CME Church and was a truck driver with Shields Brothers Trucking.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on July 21 at Hudsonville CME Church. Rev. Eric Shields officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his mother, Evelyn Jones Shields of Slayden; brothers, Rev. Eric Shields (Sharon) of Slayden, Neil Shields (Genitra) of Olive Branch, Brian Shields of Red Banks; his fiancee Senetris “NeNe” Dowsing of Olive Branch; and his children.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jonterrious Shields; and father, Rev. Nemi Shields.
