Jessie Lewis Terry

Jessie Lewis Terry, 69, of Michigan City, died April 24, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven. He was a member of Hebron MB Church where he served as chairman of the deacon board and was in the choir. He was a retired school teacher and coach in the Ashland, Oxford and Senatobia School Systems.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on April 29 from 11 a.m. -2 p.m.; at Hebron MB Church in Michigan City from 4-7 p.m.; and on April 30 from 11-11:55 a.m. with services at 12 noon. Pastor Andre Williams will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He leaves his wife, Alberta Hampton Terry; sons, Tavis Terry of Memphis, Tenn., Jawaun Terry of Michigan City; his mother, Marie Sellers Terry of Lamar; sisters, Lee Francis Oatis, Farniece Crawford, both of Lamar, Lois Lowe of Chicago, Ill.; brothers, John E. Terry Jr., Timothy Terry, Cortez Terry, Sammie Terry, all of Lamar, W.B. Terry, Alge Terry, both of Michigan City, Theotis Terry of Chicago, Ill.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, John E. Terry Sr.; and brother, Freddie Terry.
