The Marshall Academy Patriots baseball team took their show on the road last week. They travelled to the Gulf Coast to participate in a tournament held annually, Battle on the Beach. High school teams from all over the state showed up ready to sling balls and swing bats.

For several days, the Patriots took the field showing that their small town school could hang with the bigger ones. They went 2-2, laying it on Quitman and Northpoint (formerly SBEC) and barely falling to MRA and Parklane.

This group is something seriously special. They will be going all the way and what a fabulous ride it will be for them!
