L.C. Gatewood

L.C. Gatewood, 73, of Byhalia, died February 24, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis, Tenn. He was a member of Newell Chapel CME Church in Victoria where he served as a trustee. He worked with the Marshall County Road and Bridge Department.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on March 4 from 3-6 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on March 5 at Newell Chapel CME Church Cemetery. Rev. Curtis Nelson, pastor, will officiate.

He leaves his wife, Patricia Jones Gatewood; sons, Kenneth Jones of Byhalia, Gerald Gatewood of Memphis; sister, Eulia Jones of Byhalia; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Van Gatewood, Otis Wells, Jimmy Wells, Charles Edward Gatewood and Blair Harper.
