Edward L. Garrison

Edward L. Garrison, 79, of Olive Branch, formerly of Cayce, died January 19, 2022, at his home. He was a member of Mt. Zion Taska MB Church in Cayce where he served on the church deacon board and sang with the male chorus. He was a retired machine operator at Carrier in Collierville, Tenn.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Jan. 28 from 3-6 p.m. and on Jan. 29 at Mt. Zion Taska MB Church from 11-11:55 a.m with services at 12 noon. Rev. Harvey L. Garrison will officiate.

He leaves his wife, Margaret Woods Garrison; one daughter, Brenda Glover of Memphis, Tenn.; four sons, Lewis Edward Garrison of Olive Branch, Robert Dewayne Garrison of Memphis, Vincent Glover of Collierville, Tenn., Gary Glover of Houston, Tex.; three sisters, Ruth Edwards of Forrest City Ark., Della Hooker of Cayce, Georgia Smith of Collierville; five brothers, Harvey L. Garrison of Lamar, Carl Garrison of Collierville, Cleotha Garrison, Harrison Garrison both of Cayce, Elmore Kinkle of Memphis; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Bernard Norman; sisters, Learlean Marshall, Bernell Hull and Bernice Norfleet.
